The episode begins with Jhanak telling journalists that Aniruddh is her father and her mother, Nutan, revealed this truth before dying. But Aniruddh refused to accept her as his daughter. She says Nutan is an honest person and Aniruddh betrayed her. Aniruddh is scared to lose his reputation and his current family. That’s why he doesn’t want to accept the truth. She tells them she’s living in Kolkata to study at medical college. Aniruddh wants her to leave the city. She says she wants to do a DNA test to prove she’s not lying. She’ll leave the city if she’s proved wrong.
The journalist asks whether Jhanak knows the results of this accusation. Rishi tells journalists that Jhanak told the truth. He’s supporting Jhanak. The journalist asks Rishi about his forced marriage with Jhanak. Rishi replies he went to Simulboni for work, but villagers forced him to marry Jhanak due to a misunderstanding. He says Aniruddh forced him and Jhanak to divorce. He’ll support Jhanak always. He reveals Jhanak wants justice. The journalist asks whether there’s nothing going on between Rishi and Jhanak now. Rishi says that’s a personal matter.
The journalist asks why Rishi is getting involved in this matter. Rishi says he’s supporting Jhanak as a friend. The journalist says they heard Aniruddh’s daughter Aditi is Rishi’s wife. Rishi says he’s fighting for truth, and this fight has nothing to do with Aditi. The journalist asks whether Jhanak will accept Aniruddh’s wealth if he accepts her. Jhanak says she doesn’t want Aniruddh’s name and wealth. She’s fighting to get justice for Nutan.
After some time at the police station, Aditi asks Rishi whether he wants to prove Aniruddh tried to kill Jhanak. Rishi says an investigation is going on and he’s not part of the team. They go inside. The police inspector tells them he got a report from the investigation team. That’s why he called them to question them. Aniruddh asks why he’s getting investigated like this. Arshi asks why they’re getting questioned in the maid of the Chatterjee family matter.
The police inspector asks Jhanak what happened. Jhanak replies she went to the kitchen because the catering guy told her to keep food in the kitchen. She says she smelled something, and the kitchen caught fire. So she screamed and fainted. The police inspector asks Rishi what he saw. Rishi replies the kitchen door was locked from outside. The police inspector asks who hired the catering team. Aniruddh replies he hired a catering team.
The constable brings the catering team leader there. The police inspector asks the catering team leader why his team member told Jhanak to keep the food inside the kitchen. The catering team leader says they did nothing wrong. They did their work only. The police inspector mockingly asks whether sending Jhanak to the kitchen and setting fire to the kitchen is their work. Aniruddh asks whether the police inspector is trying to claim someone deliberately tried to kill Jhanak. He hired a catering team so police will file an attempted murder case on him. The police inspector says he’ll do that if it becomes necessary.
Rishi asks Aditi whether she’ll defend Aniruddh still. Aniruddh tells Rishi to shut up. Rishi says his doubts are getting cleared. Aniruddh knows Jhanak is his daughter. Aniruddh asks what nonsense this is. The police inspector threatens to put the catering team leader behind bars if he doesn’t reveal the truth. He says he knows the catering team leader is a pawn, and he wants to know who the mastermind is.
The catering team leader tells the police inspector he did nothing wrong. His team member sent Jhanak to the kitchen because she was there. He says even his team members were about to go to the kitchen. Why would anyone ruin their own business? The police inspector says now this case will go to court. Aniruddh says he’ll hire a lawyer, and let’s see who proves him wrong when he’s innocent. The police inspector asks Aniruddh to tell the truth in court. He tells Rishi to be fair in this case. Rishi assures the police inspector he won’t disappoint him.
Later, Jhanak tells Rishi he’s facing all this because of her. She says everyone will blame her and say she broke Rishi and Aditi’s marriage. Rishi says Aditi is supporting wrong, so why would he support her? He loves Jhanak. Jhanak asks him not to say that. Rishi asks her whether she doesn’t love him. Jhanak replies she doesn’t know. Rishi says he knows Jhanak loves him. He asks her not to accept defeat. He tells her the truth will come out and Aniruddh can’t stop it.
Jhanak says she came to study, but she has to go to court. She can’t stay in Rishi’s house because his family doesn’t want her to stay there. Rishi asks her not to get sad. Jhanak tells him thanks for everything. Rishi tells her he did everything for himself. Because he gets happy seeing her happy. He asks her to focus on her studies. He dreamt so much for Jhanak. Jhanak tells him she also dreamt something. Rishi asks her about her dream. Jhanak reveals she dreamt of living with Rishi. But she won’t do anything to turn that dream into reality. Rishi tells her he wants to live with her till he dies.
Jhanak asks him why he forgot his love for Aditi. Rishi admits he loved Aditi, but Aditi has changed. Jhanak says it’s not necessary that every desire will become true. She cries. Rishi holds her hand and asks her to never leave his hand. Jhanak nods at him and holds his hand. Rishi promises to love, respect, and support Jhanak always.
