The episode begins with Aniruddh’s lawyer, Mr. Ghosh, telling the judge that Jhanak is a really cunning girl. He informs the judge about how Jhanak and Rishi got married by force. Rishi brought Jhanak to his house and lied to his family that she’s a maid. He says Rishi tried to marry Aditi by hiding this truth. But Aditi found out the truth and called off the marriage. So Aniruddh met the hospitalized Jhanak and took her signature on the documents because she claimed that marriage doesn’t have any value for her. Then Rishi married Aditi. Jhanak was thrown out of the college hostel, so Aditi brought Jhanak to the Chatterjee house. But ungrateful Jhanak made Aditi’s life hell. He tells the judge that nobody gave food counter responsibility to Jhanak, so she went to the kitchen willingly. The kitchen caught fire due to a short circuit. He says Rishi pushed Jhanak to accuse Aniruddh.
Jhanak’s lawyer asks whether Mr. Ghosh wants to say the police didn’t do the investigation well. Mr. Ghosh gets permission from the judge to question Jhanak. He asks Jhanak about her birthplace and her family. Jhanak replies she’s from Simulboni and her mother, Nutan, died. Mr. Ghosh asks her whether she’s forgetting anyone. Jhanak tells him her father is Parashar.
Mr. Ghosh tells the judge that Parashar is the most wanted criminal. Jhanak’s lawyer says that’s not related to this case. Mr. Ghosh tells the judge to imagine what kind of upbringing Jhanak would have gotten from Parashar. Jhanak tells the judge that Parashar is a good person and he helped others. She requests Mr. Ghosh not to say Parashar is a criminal.
Jhanak’s lawyer tells the judge they’re getting away from the case. Mr. Ghosh tells the judge it’s important to know Jhanak’s background. He says Aniruddh is a respected businessman in Kolkata, and he doesn’t know why he would try to kill Jhanak. Jhanak’s lawyer says the reason is clear. Aditi doesn’t like Jhanak. That’s why Aniruddh did this. Mr. Ghosh tells the judge that Aditi supported Jhanak. Aditi brought Jhanak to the Chatterjee house. But Jhanak doesn’t deserve Aditi’s kindness.
Mr. Ghosh calls Neelu to the witness box. He asks Neelu about Aditi’s relationship with Jhanak. Neelu tells the judge that Aditi always treated Jhanak well. Aniruddh offered money to Jhanak to leave Rishi’s life. So Jhanak left Rishi but later returned to his life by using Aditi’s kindness. She says Jhanak is a betrayer and greedy too. She adds Jhanak tried to get close to Rishi in front of Aditi. That’s why Aditi left the house. She tells the judge that Aniruddh and Aditi handled this matter maturely. So she won’t accept that Aniruddh tried to kill Jhanak.
Jhanak’s lawyer calls Sanjhbati to witness the house. He asks Sanjhbati’s opinion about Jhanak. Sanjhbati tells the judge that Jhanak is a simple and pure-hearted person. Jhanak is brilliant in studies, and she came to Kolkata to achieve her and her mother’s dream. She says Jhanak claims Aniruddh is her father. So Aniruddh tried to kill Jhanak to avoid a DNA test. Because Aniruddh wanted to save his reputation, business, and wealth. She says Aditi brought Jhanak to the Chatterjee house so Jhanak doesn’t expose Aniruddh.
Mr. Ghosh tells the judge that Aniruddh’s reputation is getting ruined without any evidence. Sanjhbati isn’t a member of the Chatterjee family, so what’s the need to question her opinion? They should question Rishi’s parents’ opinions. Neelu tells the judge that Sanjhbati doesn’t know Jhanak well. Jhanak’s lawyer tells the judge that the main issue is the fire incident. Aniruddh hired a catering service for Dritimaan and Sanjhbati’s blessing ceremony. But nobody knows the manager was also hired that day. The judge says the court is adjourned and the hearing will continue on the next date.
Later, Bablu tells Anjana that Aniruddh returned from court, so he’ll talk to Aniruddh. He leaves from there. Anjana cries seeing Apu and Nutan’s photo. Aditi arrives and sees the photo. Anjana apologizes after seeing the photo. Aditi asks why Anjana is crying. She asks who is beside Apu. Anjana lies that she’s Apu’s friend. Aditi asks Anjana to tell the truth. Anjana reveals that’s Jhanak’s mother, Nutan. Aditi asks whether Nutan was like Anjana’s daughter.
Meanwhile, Bablu asks Aniruddh whether he really tried to kill Jhanak. Aniruddh asks whether Bablu thinks he can do that.

Precap: Rishi asks Jhanak whether she ate. Jhanak replies she’s not hungry. Rishi tries to convince her to eat. Neelu makes Jhanak fall down. In that process, Rishi falls down too.
