The episode starts with Mufti at a wedding. He tells the bride and groom what the Quran says about men and women. He explains how a wife should behave after marriage and that she must listen to her husband. His son adds that a man has the right to hit his wife to keep her on the “right path” and that it is not wrong to raise a hand on a woman to teach her. All the men at the wedding agree with him, but the bride looks sad and uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, Seher is travelling to Lucknow with her mother and father in a bus. A bee bites Seher on her hand. Her mother asks a man sitting next to her husband for medicine. He gives the medicine, but while doing that, he accidentally touches her hand. Seher’s father sees this and gets angry. He shouts at the stranger and says no one should touch his wife’s hand. He does not listen when his wife tries to explain it was a mistake.
The stranger argues back. The bus conductor also gets angry and says Seher’s father is behaving like a goon. The conductor throws their family out of the bus. Outside, Seher’s mother applies the medicine on Seher’s hand and worries about her. Seher’s father still blames his wife for everything and says they were thrown out because of her. She says his anger is the real reason. He calls her sharp-tongued and orders her to cover her face with a veil. He also gets upset that she is still holding the medicine given by the stranger, so he throws it into the river and walks ahead, asking them to follow him.
At the same time, Mahid is dragging a man to the terrace of a tall building. Mahid says the man misbehaved with a woman. The man says he loved the girl and claims it is not wrong to touch her. Mahid threatens to push him off the building if he does not admit his mistake. The man gets scared and begs for his life. The police arrive with Mahid’s uncle. The inspector tells Mahid not to take the law into his own hands and says this is wrong.
Mahid still forces the man to confess. The man finally admits he misbehaved with the girl. He says he loved her, but she left him, so he felt betrayed. Mahid scolds him and says he should not have played with her dignity. The inspector warns Mahid that he will arrest him if he keeps acting like this. The police then take the man away.
Seher sees Mahid from a distance and thinks he is in danger. She runs towards him to help and tells him not to take any wrong step. Her father scolds her for going near a stranger and drags her away. They reach the house of Seher’s father’s second wife. Azad welcomes them. Seher’s father meets Sofia and spends time with her lovingly, which breaks Seher’s mother’s heart. She feels hurt watching her husband shower love on his second wife.
Later, the police visit Mufti. They tell him to take Mahid to a doctor because he is too aggressive and keeps trying to do justice himself. Mufti talks to Mahid and he agrees to meet a doctor. Mufti then speaks with Seher’s father about getting Seher married to Mahid.
Seher, unaware of this, goes out with her mother to see the beauty of Lucknow. She shares her dreams and says she wants to become a doctor and treat poor people. Her mother blesses her and wishes that she becomes a skilled doctor and helps many patients.
Back at home, Seher’s father is very happy after Mufti asks for Seher’s hand in marriage for Mahid. Seher buys a book for her studies. On the street, she accidentally bumps into a vendor and his hens run away. He shouts at her and creates a scene. Seher helps him catch the hens. Mahid and his father see this from the car and look down at Seher and her mother for causing a commotion on the road.
While helping, Seher bumps into Mahid. He glares at her and steps on her book, leaving it dirty and damaged. Seher feels bad and upset. Her mother tells her to stay away from him.
